Senior Infrastructure Engineer

Indotronix is seeking a Senior Infrastructure Engineer Remote position for our Direct client

Position: Senior Infrastructure Engineer

Location: Remote

Duration: Contract to hire

Shift Times/Preferred Time Zone 9-5 EST core hours, would require on-call/overnight coverage as needed (Only if RTB support cannot handle the issue, may be reached out to, but would be very rare). May be asked to join CRs on Monday nights, but wouldn t be every Monday

OT: Could be for after-hours work, would try to flex during the week first

Travel: Quarterly as needed-PA or OH (If not in PA or OH, would be discussed)

Occasional night/weekend work will be required (Monday evenings mostly). May have to assist the RTB team on occasion

Candidate Technical and skills profile:

UDeploy experience, installation, architecture, and upgrade experience with UDeploy

Key responsibilities:

1. More than just using Udeploy for deployments, need to have installation, architecture, and lead experience with UDeploy

2. Experience with Kubernetes and/or OpenShift and Helm deploying application services

3. Experience with automation frameworks and tools like Ansible and Terraform

4. Experience with the Jenkins platform, provisioning, configuring, and using automation like Jenkins Configuration as Code (JCasC)

5. Experience programming and scripting (with languages like Golang, Python, Java/Groovy, or Bash)

6. Expertise with Git and platforms such as Atlassian Bitbucket / GitHub Enterprise / Azure DevOps Server

7. Experience with Continuous Integration & Delivery Best Practices

8. Good communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills

9. Self-motivated, willing to take initiative, and able to apply new technologies when appropriate

Must have technical skills/experience (ask for alternative/tool/version):

Required:

1. 4+ experience with IBM UrbanCode Deploy (uDeploy). Software upgrade experience with UDeploy

2. Installation, configuration, and overall administration, software engineering, and support (UDeploy)

3. Experience with the IBM license key center for the process of managing Udeploy licenses

4. Onboarding of consumers of the Udeploy application

5. Coding experience (Groovy, Ansible, Python, etc.)

6. Experience building and supporting Udeploy custom plugins (ex, integration with ServiceNow)

7 . Familiarity in working with and using RHEL

Nice to have:

1. Ansible scripting experience

2. Automating various engineering tasks, including installation, configuration, upgrades, etc..

3. GitHub Enterprise, Jenkins experience

4. Knowledge of and experience with Blue/Green deployments

5. Knowledge of and experience with containerization tools (Docker, Kubernetes)

6. Familiarity with Java development, this is to support a Java application that we have that wraps the UDClient

Soft skills that would make a candidate successful in this role:

1. Good communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills

2. Self-motivated, willing to take initiative, and able to apply new technologies when appropriate

Education:

1. Can be flexible on education; experience is more important

2. Kubernetes Cert a plus

3. Jenkins Certificate is a plus
