Job Details

We are seeking a highly skilled and mission-driven Healthcare Data Scientist with deep domain expertise in managed care analytics and primary care operations. This individual will play a critical role in partnering with our Health Services team to surface insights, guide strategic decisions, and drive population health initiatives using advanced analytics.

What You'll Do:
  • Collaborate closely with clinical and operational leaders to understand visit volume, patient access, supply/demand dynamics, and value-based care performance across our primary care clinics.
  • Analyze and deconstruct key performance indicators (KPIs), including cost per 80k, specialty cost per member per month (PMPM), and others-down to the patient level.
  • Work across multiple data platforms and tools to help regional managers and clinic leaders prioritize actions across a variety of performance metrics.
  • Build and optimize models and analytical frameworks that inform clinical workflows and population health strategies.
  • Consolidate and enhance existing reporting by applying sophisticated data science techniques to broader data sets.
  • Serve as a thought partner to business stakeholders-translating analytical findings into actionable strategies.

What We're Looking For:
  • Strong background in healthcare analytics, particularly within managed care, value-based care, and primary care delivery models.
  • Proficiency in SQL and Python; experience with other statistical platforms (e.g., R, SAS) is a plus.
  • Familiarity with tools such as Tableau is expected, but this is not a developer role-we're looking for someone who can derive insights from data, not just build dashboards.
  • Experience working with large healthcare data sets and decomposing KPIs into operational insights.
  • Ability to synthesize data from multiple systems and sources to answer complex clinical and business questions.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to translate technical analysis into practical recommendations for clinical and operational leaders.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Master's degree or higher in Data Science, Public Health, Biostatistics, Health Economics, or a related field.
  • Experience supporting population health, care coordination, or clinical quality improvement initiatives.
  • Prior work in a value-based care environment or within a healthcare delivery organization.
