Business Intelligence Developer

Job Description

ECS is seeking a Business Intelligence Developer to work remotely . This is an exciting role to join a high functioning Business Systems team.

The successful candidate will perform the following:

• Support corporate customers with the creation and management of business intelligence and analytics solutions that transform data into knowledge
• Possess an outstanding ability to clearly communicate data, context, and implications to business and technology stakeholders
• Design and develop reports/dashboards to provide KPIs, visualizations, and reporting that meets the business needs of stakeholders
• Partner with stakeholders to translate customers' requirements into specifications that will be used to implement the required reports
• Exceptional ability to visually present and communicate data, analyses, and findings to senior and executive level leadership
• Translate information and data from multiple sources in support of value-added narratives for senior-level and operations level consumption
• Provide reports that follow structured reporting development procedures that ensure accuracy and security of sensitive data
• Ensure change control procedures and processes are followed in accordance with corporate policies
• Interface with internal/external audit teams to provide periodic evidence of adherence to Corporate Policies and SOX Key Report procedures
• Undertake regular reviews to ensure report accuracy and run time efficiencies
• Ability to work under tight deadlines and prioritize workload in a fast paced, dynamic environment
• Ad hoc requests as needed

Salary range: $100,000 - $130,000

Required Skills

• 3+ years developing reports with one of the following tools (Cognos, Power BI, Oracle Analytics, Tableau)
• Experience working for a government contractor
• Ability to collect, organize, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy
• General knowledge of Costpoint processes
• Experience with Costpoint Data sets and relationships
• Understanding of the underlying Costpoint and T&E databases
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
• Able to work independently and as a team
• Strong understanding of SQL
• Understanding of accounting and finance concepts and process workflows
• Analyze BI requirements and design/develop Reporting solutions to support standard reporting, Dashboard and self-service environment

Desired Skills

• Working knowledge of core business processes
• Expert level knowledge of Excel
• Familiarity with EPBCS/Hyperion
• Technical reporting certifications a plus
• Experience with Agile
• Familiarity with data warehouse concepts
• Experience with Data Modeling
