Position Summary
The Senior Program Manager Lasso MFG will report to the ICU Global IT PMO Director and will be responsible for the planning, implementation, and tracking the completion of a large global integration program consisting of specific long-term inter-related programs, each of which may be composed of multiple inter-related projects, each of which will have a beginning, an end, and specified deliverables. The wWork shall include following an over-arching Integration Framework for programs and projects, each to be performed in accordance with the ICU Project Management Framework (PMF) and its defined phases. Depending upon need and execution success, the project scope may change/increase to include other geographies than the initial site.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Plan the Integration Program
- Define the Governance model for the overarching Manufacturing Integration Program, which includes sites in Mexico (2), United StatesS (2), and Italy (1).
- Working in collaboration with ICU IT Leadership and the Lasso Program Steering Committee define the scope of the Integration Program and its several programs and projects
- Define the communications process and frequency for the Program by site as needed
- Define and hire to the need for a team of program managers, project managers, and analysts
- Create and execute to a high-level integrated detailed work plan that identifies and sequences the activities needed to successfully complete the remainder of the global MFG Integration program
- Determine the initial resources (time, money, equipment, etc.) required to complete the program by site and by project and then maintain the resourcing plan over time
- Develop a schedule of integrated schedules for program completion that effectively allocates resources
- Brief program and project schedules with C-Level executives, senior management, and other staff effectedeffected by project activities; ensuring revision and update of the schedules as required
- Assist in determining the objectives, benefits, and measures upon which the overall program and its several programs/projects will be evaluated at completion
Staff the Projects
- In consultation with IT Leadership, recruit and select staff for the integration with appropriate skills for project and administrative activities
- Work with IT leadership to contract qualified consultants to work on the program/sites, as needed
Implement the Program/Projects
- Ensure the execution of the Integration Programs in accordance with its approved project plan(s)
- Complete/develop forms and records to document project activities in accordance with the Integration Framework defined above and per the ICU IT Program Management Framework as appropriate
- Establish a storage structure to ensure that all program/project information is appropriately documented, retained, and secured
- Monitor the progress of the program and make adjustments as necessary to ensure the successful completion of the Program and its constituent programs/projects
- Review the quality of the work completed with the project teams on a regular basis to ensure that all meet ICU IT, program, and corporate standards
Control the Program/Projects
- Develop roll-up reports on the Program for management and for stakeholders
- Assist in monitoring budgeted program expenditures by project where appropriate
- Assist in monitoring cash flow projections and report actual cash flow and variance to senior management on a regular basis (monthly/bimonthly)
- Ensure that all financial records for the program are up to date
Evaluate the Program/Projects
- Ensure that program and project deliverables are on time, in budget, and at the required level of quality
- Evaluate the outcomes of the Program, programs, and projects during required post-mortems
Knowledge, Skills & Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of Project and Program Management methodologies and how to apply them
- Previous experience managing similar large acquisition / manufacturing integration programs
- Experience with integrated schedules and a very large number of simultaneous activities
- Strong organizational skills and a high level of attention to detail
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Knowledge of Oracle Manufacturing applications, MES systems preferred
- Knowledge of system integrations with EBS and custom applications
- Ability to prioritize key business objectives and respond quickly to changing priorities
- Ability to excel in a geographically -dispersed remote team environment and positively influence others
- Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
- Proficient in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Sharepoint, SmartSheet, MS Project
- Proficient in simple accounting, budget tracking, and data base management
Education and Experience
- Bachelor s degree from an accredited college or university required
- Minimum 10-15 years of planning and 10-15 years of senior management experience required
- Experience managing full-life cycle IT Applications development required
- Experience managing in a waterfall systems development lifecycle methodology required
- Experience managing acquisition-related follow-on manufacturing integration projects required
- Extensive experience with MES systems, Oracle MRP Manufacturing systemsApplications and Oracle- Interfaces with EBS and other custom applications interfacing MFG applications required
- Extensive experience with manufacturing execution systems required
- PgMP, PMP, Prince2, or equivalent Certification highly desired
- Fluency in English is required; fluency in Spanish is desired
- Experience in Enterprise or Project Management tools (e.g., MS Project, Planview, SmartSheet) desired
- Experience working in a regulated environment desired
- Supervisory experience required; PM Mentoring experience desired
Minimum Qualifications
- Must be at least 15 years of age
- Must pass pre-employment drug screen and background check
Travel Requirements
- Typically requires travel less than 20% of the time; international travel should be expected
Physical Requirements and Work Environment
- Program manager lLikely will be required to work across multiple time zones, evenings, and weekends to meet project milestones.
- This is largely a remote, sedentary role.
- The execution of a program/project may sometimes require work in nonstandard workplaces.
