Job Summary We are seeking a proactive and insightful User Experience Researcher 4 to conduct research on low-fidelity designs as well as launched products to identify user experience improvements. You will collaborate across disciplines, influence design decisions, and support user-centered product development. This role requires juggling multiple projects, working closely with product owners, engineers, and designers, and effectively communicating research findings to foster buy-in and action. Key Responsibilities Conduct usability testing, interviews, analytics, and other research methods on customer-facing digital designs including websites and mobile apps. Serve as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for research to guide user-centered design decisions on high-visibility projects. Create engaging, clear, and actionable research reports using updated templates. Plan and align research activities with agile development processes to inform engineering and development decisions early. Summarize and communicate research findings to clearly indicate necessary actions or opportunities. Balance technical tradeoffs with user needs to promote iterative improvements. Collaborate with designers, developers, analysts, product managers, and tech leads to implement solutions based on research insights. Synthesize data from various research activities to identify trends and reduce recurring user pain points. Contribute to quarterly planning by sharing research outcomes and patterns. Stay current with user interface trends and recommend new tools and research methods. Assist with user acceptance testing as needed. Work cross-functionally across teams and share expertise to promote the value of user research. Required Qualifications High School diploma or GED. Extensive experience using user research tools such as UserTesting.com. Proven ability to conduct user research and communicate findings in a compelling manner that drives resolution and understanding. Experience collaborating within multidisciplinary teams through the full product lifecycle using Agile/Scrum methodologies. Knowledge of qualitative and quantitative research methods. Strong communication skills to engage both business and technology stakeholders regarding end user needs and expectations. Preferred Qualifications Previous experience in the Electric and Gas Utility industry. Degree in Human-Computer Interaction or a related field, or equivalent relevant business/technical experience. Proficiency with accessibility standards, web development, and mobile applications. Education: High School
