Job Details

Title: Corporate Controller,

Work Location: Houston

Status: Permanent

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES

Protect organization s assets by establishing, monitoring, and enforcing financial policies,

procedures, internal controls and reporting systems including Annual Financial Audit and other

bank/investor compliance reporting requirements

Provide comprehensive financial updates to management by evaluating, analyzing, and reporting

appropriate data points

Track against financial and operating budgets, KPI s, and reporting standards on a periodic,

monthly, and annual basis

Prepare, manage and analyze business financial statements and performance metrics for both

Riverbend branch and Group holding company

Help develop and support short and long-term financial and operational strategies

Manage, support and further develop accounting team with dynamic, servant style leadership that

creates an environment of trust and productivity as well as mentorship and collaboration with other

departments

Maintain high performing team through regular coaching, counseling, and career development

Direct the general accounting, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and departmental

functions. Train, provide guidance and monitor performance of branch accounting personnel, as

needed

Direct the annual audit process and corporate tax requirements.

Working with CFO and Sr Financial Analyst (peer) to manage ongoing budgets, forecasts,

periodic Board reporting processes, and other finance reporting deliverables, as required

Accurately and timely direct the month-end close, disbursements review and approval, payroll

tax and reporting compliance, sales/use tax compliance, corporate tax compliance, employee

expense reports, bank reconciliations, and account analysis

Direct organization s treasury functions such as maintaining cash controls and 13 week cash

forecast reports, bank accounts, initiating cash wires within scope of authority.

Serve as payroll backup to the payroll function and review weekly/bi-weekly payroll batches for

processing

Backup CFO on ad hoc projects, as assigned

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Bachelor s degree required in Accounting AND CPA required; MBA or equivalent advanced

degree preferred.

2+ years of public accounting experience in audit, preferred;

Extensive Percentage of Completion accounting - REQUIRED

Private Equity experience preferred.

5+ years of relevant experience in Corporate accounting and 3+ years of people management

experience required

Excellent organizational and communication skills; both verbal and written.

Strong analytical skills required with the proven ability to use analysis to drive and solve for

business problems

Outstanding skills in accounting systems and ERP system - MS Dynamics Business Central

REQUIRED and Office 365 expert user.

Other Working Conditions

May be required to work outside standard business hours from time to time.
