Business Analyst

Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Business Analyst with proven experience in the Financial Services industry to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for gathering, analyzing, and documenting user requirements and ensuring seamless communication with the development team throughout the product lifecycle. This role requires strong proficiency in Microsoft Office tools and Visio, with a preference for experience in Jira or similar project management tools.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and document detailed business and functional requirements.
• Translate business needs into clear, actionable requirements for the development team.
• Support the product lifecycle from concept through implementation and maintenance.
• Create process flows, use cases, and wireframes using Microsoft Visio.
• Perform accurate mathematical calculations and apply mathematical concepts to real-world business scenarios.
• Utilize Microsoft Excel for data analysis, modeling, and reporting.
• Communicate effectively with cross-functional teams including developers, QA, and business stakeholders.
• Track and manage requirements and project tasks using Jira or other project management tools.
• Assist in user acceptance testing (UAT) and ensure solutions meet business needs.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor s degree in Business, Finance, Information Systems, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience as a Business Analyst in the Financial Services industry.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and Microsoft Visio.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to perform complex mathematical calculations.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience with Jira or similar project/task management tools is preferred.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with Agile or Scrum methodologies.
• Familiarity with SQL or data querying tools.
• Certification in Business Analysis (e.g., CBAP, PMI-PBA) is a plus.
