Enterprise Engineering - Integrations is a global team of engineers building custom applications with tailored end-user experiences for Datadog employees. We are responsible for building backend and full stack applications used across Datadog. This includes the user account lifecycle platform which supports employee onboarding, offboarding, account recertification, and SaaS license management, device posture monitoring solutions and e-discovery.

As a Senior Software Engineer on the Enterprise Engineering - Integrations team, you will help us move faster and more efficiently by writing code to create extensible and scalable platforms used across Datadog. You will build the foundation for some of our most integral automation systems that enable your colleagues to succeed and Datadog to scale.

At Datadog, we place value in our office culture - the relationships and collaboration it builds and the creativity it brings to the table. We operate as a hybrid workplace to ensure our Datadogs can create a work-life harmony that best fits them.

What You'll Do:
  • Collaborate with teams across the organization to identify gaps and design automated solutions to address Datadog's business needs
  • Add and deploy features to existing applications
  • Design and build scalable full stack tools that have company-wide impact
  • Identify novel opportunities for the team to add value through automation
  • Shape the direction of the team through planning and discovery
  • Participate in a team on-call rotation to troubleshoot and solve issues with our tools

Who You Are:
  • You have expert-level experience in one or more languages (e.g. Go, Python), with the interest and drive to learn additional tools and technologies
  • You thrive when working with stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver real value
  • You have significant experience designing, building, and deploying scalable end-user applications; preferably in AWS
  • You have excellent verbal and written communications skills as well as working with remote team members
  • You efficiently drive consensus on solving real problems while avoiding bikeshedding
  • You take an active role in identifying and proposing initiatives to improve existing systems.

Datadog values people from all walks of life. We understand not everyone will meet all the above qualifications on day one. That's okay. If you're passionate about technology and want to grow your skills, we encourage you to apply.

Benefits and Growth:
  • New hire stock equity (RSUs) and employee stock purchase plan (ESPP)
  • Continuous professional development, product training, and career pathing
  • Intra-departmental mentor and buddy program for in-house networking
  • An inclusive company culture, ability to join our Community Guilds
  • Access to Inclusion Talks, our Internal panel discussions
  • Free, global Spring Health benefits for employees and dependents age 6+
  • Competitive global benefits

Benefits and Growth listed above may vary based on the country of your employment and the nature of your employment with Datadog.

Datadog offers a competitive salary and equity package, and may include variable compensation. Actual compensation is based on factors such as the candidate's skills, qualifications, and experience. In addition, Datadog offers a wide range of best in class, comprehensive and inclusive employee benefits for this role including healthcare, dental, parental planning, and mental health benefits, a 401(k) plan and match, paid time off, fitness reimbursements, and a discounted employee stock purchase plan.

The reasonably estimated yearly salary for this role at Datadog is:
$187,000-$240,000 USD
