Instrumentation Engineer
The Opportunity:

Applies engineering physics, engineering mathematics, and materials science principles to support the design, analysis, manufacture, or maintenance of mechanical systems. Applies advanced consulting skills, extensive technical expertise, and full industry knowledge. Develops innovative solutions to complex problems. Works without considerable direction. Mentors and may supervise team members.

You Have:
  • 5+ years of experience in engineering, such as avionics or electrical, including troubleshooting complex systems from technical drawings or in the field
  • Knowledge of engineering principles as they apply to hardware design, including electronics, avionics, telecommunications, signal processing, and instrumentation
  • Knowledge of the principles of project and program management
  • Ability to provide technical advice and analysis of functional systems, integration, documentation, and implementation advice on exceptionally complex problems
  • Ability to develop te chn ical documentation, including 2D te chn ical drawings, 3D models, and other written te chn ical documentation, including instrumentation recording instructions
  • Ability to collaborate with a team, including a variety of te chn ical and non-te chn ical teammates, to solve complex problems
  • Ability to communicate concepts, results, and other te chn ical information to internal and external audiences and te chn ical and non-te chn ical stakeholders effectively
  • Top Secret clearance
  • Bachelor's degree in an Aerospace, Aviation, Electrical, or Engineering field


Nice If You Have:
  • Experience with Air Force programs, especially designing systems for military aircraft
  • Experience supporting or conducting test events in laboratory, prototyping, or field environments
  • Knowledge of the DoD acquisition lifecycle
  • TS/SCI clearance
  • Master's degree in an Aerospace, Aviation, Electrical, or Engineering field


Clearance:

Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; Top Secret clearance is required.

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $86,900.00 to $198,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees.
