Business Analyst
Employment Type: Contract

Location: Remote (must be based in the Eastern Time Zone)
Charlotte, NC preferred — hybrid 2 days per week onsite. Candidates in NC, VA, FL, or GA also encouraged to apply.
Role Overview:
We’re seeking an experienced Business Analyst to serve as the key liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams. This role is responsible for gathering, analyzing, and documenting business requirements; identifying process improvements; and ensuring that delivered solutions align with organizational objectives.
The ideal candidate will be proactive, analytical, and comfortable driving clarity in complex business and technical environments.
Key Responsibilities:
Requirements Gathering & Analysis
Collaborate with stakeholders to elicit, analyze, and document detailed business requirements.
Translate business needs into functional specifications, process flows, and user stories.
Process Improvement
Identify and recommend process optimization opportunities.
Perform gap analyses between current and future state processes.
Stakeholder Communication
Facilitate workshops, meetings, and presentations to ensure alignment and shared understanding.
Act as a bridge between business units and technical delivery teams.
Documentation & Reporting
Create and maintain comprehensive documentation including business requirements, workflows, and use cases.
Develop progress reports and dashboards to track project status and KPIs.
Testing & Validation
Support QA teams by reviewing test cases and validating that solutions meet business requirements.
Change Management
Contribute to training and communication plans to support successful adoption of new systems or processes.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience.
Minimum 5 years of experience as a Business Analyst or in a similar role.
Proven experience performing true business analysis — including process mapping, workflow design, and requirements documentation — using established BA tools and templates.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Ability to work independently, take initiative, and drive tasks to completion.
Preferred Experience:
Familiarity with data visualization tools (Power BI preferred).
Experience with Azure DevOps or other project management/development tools.
Professional certifications such as CBAP, CCBA, or PMI-PBA.
Understanding of enterprise applications and cross-functional systems.
