Job Title: IBM DataStage/Mainframe Developer

Location: Charlotte, NC / Plano, TX

Type: Fulltime Position

Job Description:

• Expertise in IBM Datastage version 11.5 or above and IBM Cloud Pak, Unix and SQL.
• Expertise in Mainframes, COBOL JCL, DB2, CA7, CICS, EzyTrieve.
• Proficiency in SQL or another relevant language.
• Knowledge of data modeling, database design, and the data warehousing ecosystem.
• Skilled at the ideation, design, and deployment of DataStage solutions.
• Should be able to work independently on ETL development project including, design and implementation.
• Collaborate with team members to implement best practices for job development, testing, and deployment. Identify improvements and automation opportunities for our internal processes and procedures.
• Author and maintain internal documentations.
• Be flexible and thrive in an evolving environment.
• Supporting system integration testing and production support.
• Adapt to change quickly and adjust work accordingly in a positive manner.
• Experience with Datastage cloud implementation using IBM Cloud Pak is nice to have.

Responsibilities:

• Develops, enhances, debugs, supports, maintains, and tests software applications that support business units or supporting functions.
• These application program solutions may involve diverse development platforms, software, hardware, technologies, and tools.
• Participates in the design, development and implementation of complex applications, often using new technologies.
• May provide technical direction and system architecture for individual initiatives.
• May collaborate with external programmers to coordinate delivery of software application.
• Routine accountability is for technical knowledge and capabilities.
• Works under minimal supervision, with general guidance from more seasoned consultants.
• Serves as a fully seasoned/proficient technical resource.
