Employment Type: Full-time

Work Schedule: Hybrid - 3 days in-office, 2 days remote

Salary Range: $120,000-$150,000, based on experience

Career Level: Mid-level

Location: Long Beach, CA or Irvine, CA

General Responsibilities

As an Electrical Engineer, you will lead medium to large-scale healthcare projects from concept through construction. You'll apply advanced design principles, perform complex calculations and modeling, and prepare construction estimates and specifications. You'll also manage project budgets, mentor junior engineers, and contribute to business development efforts.

Pre-Design Engineering
  • Review existing as-built drawings
  • Perform field investigations
  • Set up drawings and models for multiple disciplines
  • Coordinate design schedules and deliverables
  • Conduct feasibility studies
  • Prepare schematic designs
  • Design Engineering
  • Perform energy calculations using EnergyPro or IES VE
  • Develop single-line diagrams and load schedules
  • Design lighting systems and controls
  • Engineer normal, emergency, and renewable power systems
  • Conduct Arc Flash, Short Circuit, and Coordination Power System Studies
  • Experience with low voltage building systems (Fire Alarm, Security, Voice/Data, Nurse Call) is a plus

Education & Certification
  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
  • Engineer-In-Training (EIT) Certification preferred
  • LEED Accreditation is a plus
  • PE License is a plus

Experience Required
  • 5+ years of electrical design experience in healthcare or commercial buildings
  • Ability to lead projects from concept through construction
  • Strong understanding of healthcare codes and standards

  • National Electrical Code
  • HCAI experience (a plus)
  • Net Zero Energy/Carbon design (a plus)
