The Sr. Software Engineer works with a team of other software engineers, network and systems engineers to design, implement, and deploy software that meets customer requirements, scales easily, removes the limitations of traditional networking solutions, and supports deployment in highly available environments.
This role is hands-on and technical-ideal for an engineer with strong experience across a variety of technologies and programming tools, including Java, Oracle, SQL Server, Snowflake, Python, and Unix Shell scripting.
The Sr. Software Engineer actively participates in the architecture and design of software components focused on creating applications that leverage technologies such as virtualization, microservices, SDN, NFV, and Big Data platforms.
They work on technical assignments that are moderately difficult, requiring judgment and initiative, with minimal instruction.

Base Pay Range: $113,600 - $205,000
Corporate Bonus Target: 15%

Job Responsibilities
Technical Engineering Services
- Drive engineering projects by developing software solutions using tools such as Java, Python, and Unix Shell scripting; conduct testing, inspections, and prepare reports and calculations.
- Expected to supervise base and associate-level engineers as needed.
- Develop full software stacks with expertise in database technologies like Oracle, SQL Server, and Snowflake.
- Understand system protocols, data flows, and dependencies across environments.
- Collaborate with system engineers to define system requirements and automation needs.
- Leverage independent study of emerging technologies to enhance architecture.
- Contribute to design and implementation of systems and services using modern frameworks and best practices.
- Continuously evaluate existing designs to improve efficiency and performance.
- Promote the adoption of new technologies including Big Data and cloud-native tools.
- Contribute to the creation of company IPR.
- Collaborate with technical teams to deliver impactful solutions aligned with business needs.
- Mentor and support junior engineers through workshops and knowledge sharing.
- Promote best practices in development, testing, and DevOps workflows.
- Shape and support technology options that align with business goals.
- Bring in practical insights into technology usage across the software lifecycle-from development and automation to deployment and monitoring.
- Independently build and integrate components of the full stack using a wide variety of tools and technologies.
- Create clear documentation for new code, systems, and technical designs.
- Write design documents, business requirement specs, and knowledge articles for team and leadership review.
