Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced EHR Oracle HIT Analyst to support an EHR modernization project.

The ideal candidate will have a current and active Public Trust Clearance from IHS, deep expertise in Oracle Cerner/Millennium platforms, and a strong understanding of both clinical and business workflows particularly within pharmacy and ambulatory care settings. This role combines project management skills with Oracle Health Solutions knowledge to drive successful EHR design, build, and optimization for assigned clinical and business domain groups.

Day-to-day Responsibilities:-

  • Analyze, document, and optimize clinical and business workflows related to Oracle Cerner/Millennium EHR platforms, focusing on pharmacy and ambulatory care domains.
  • Support the development, implementation, and maintenance of the IHS Modernized EHR system.
  • Gather requirements and translate them into functional specifications for system configuration and enhancements.
  • Maintain expertise in one or more Oracle Health Solutions to support clinical domain groups.
  • Advise on best practices for configuration, including PowerPlans/Orders, mPages, Documentation, Forms, Rules & Alerts, Patient Portal, Positions, and Clairvia.
  • Research configuration options, prepare decision briefs, and support informed decision-making for assigned domains.
  • Evaluate configuration decisions for impact on system maintenance, regulatory compliance, data integrity, and reporting.
  • Collaborate with IHS clinical and business end-users in pharmacy and ambulatory settings to facilitate efficient decision-making.
  • Work closely with System Integrator/EHR Vendor teams to align with vendor-defined best practices.
  • Facilitate workshops and meetings to identify workflow improvement opportunities.
  • Support testing, validation, and training activities for new or updated system functionality.
  • Prepare detailed documentation, process maps, and reports for project stakeholders.
  • Participate in special projects as required. Required Skills & Experience:
  • Minimum three years of relevant healthcare experience in a clinical or business role.
  • Experience working in pharmacy and/or ambulatory care settings.
  • Hands-on experience with Oracle Cerner/Millennium platforms.
  • Experience with Electronic Health Record (EHR) software, including system assessment and implementation.
  • Knowledge of Health Information Management and integration implementation.
  • Experience providing PMO (Project Management Office) support.
  • Strong understanding of clinical and business workflows in one or more Oracle Health Solutions domains, especially pharmacy and ambulatory.
  • Demonstrated ability to recommend configuration options that align with best practice workflows.
  • Excellent communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills.

    Preferred Skills:
  • Business analyst or Oracle Health Solution support experience.
  • Certification(s) in Oracle Cerner/Millennium solutions.
  • Experience in Ambulatory, Inpatient, Pharmacy, and/or Data Analytics.
  • Familiarity with healthcare regulatory requirements (e.g., HIPAA, HITECH).
  • Experience with process improvement methodologies (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma).

Education:-

  • Bachelor s or master s degree (or equivalent/higher) in Informatics, Computer Science, Public Health, or a related clinical/medical/business discipline (recommended).
