Description:
The NC Department of Health and Human Services requires the services of a Batch Lead to act as the primary point of contact with project staff and clients to support the batch operations of assigned projects by analyzing production work flows, making recommendations to improve job schedule performance, providing rapid support during outages, and providing workload automation forecasts. This position is responsible for developing, implementing and managing processes, procedures, work flows and timelines for Batch Operations unit functions, and technical development of solutions using SOS Job Scheduler. Other responsibilities include setting batch processing policies and procedures to ensure that all schedules are met and system generated outputs are delivered to appropriate constituents, including business owners and state and federal agencies, managing the scheduling system, including the insertion of new jobs, modifications of existing jobs and deletions or other changes to task schedules, and ensuring the scheduling software is up to date in terms of releases and patches. This position also works with the technology design team to ensure that the backup and recovery systems are providing the service necessary to meet our service level agreement (SLA) for business continuity, working with application support teams and business owners to determine acceptable levels of service and develop the incident management procedures and ensuring that standardized methods and procedures are used for efficient handling of all changes.
