JOB SUMMARY
\nMavericks Manufacturing Partners, Inc. is a best-in-class welding and metal additive manufacturing (AM) company specializing in the manufacturing of weldments for critical applications in a variety of high-end markets. Examples of applications are critical fleet (US Navy), spacecraft and satellites, aerospace, clean tech, alternative energy, semiconductor, AGtech, medical devices, and nuclear components.
\nWe currently have an exciting opportunity for an entry level Manufacturing Technician I to join our team located in Escondido, CA.
\nDUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
\nWith limited direction, this position will function in support of tasks and objectives that ensure business needs are met.
\nOperate a forklift when needed. Must be able to pass CalOSHA-required forklift safety and operational training and certification.
\nAssist welders in the shop with weldment fit-up, tack welding, job kitting, weld finishing, etc.
\nLearn and utilize IT systems, such as ProShop, to complete job duties.
\nPerform shipping and receiving tasks as needed. Management will provide training and oversight.
\nMake deliveries and pickups using Company vehicle(s) as required.
\nMake facility improvements, as assigned.
\nMake meaningful contributions towards our goal of establishing a best in class Welding Center of Excellence (CoE).
\nSupport weld qualification activities, such as Procedure Qualification Record (PQR), Welding Procedure Specification (WPS), Performance Qualification Test Record (PQTR). Management will provide training and oversight.
\nParticipates in resolving manufacturing issues and non-conformances.
\nMay represent the organization in providing solutions to technical issues associated with specific projects.
\nDemonstrate the willingness to learn welding processes, such as GTAW (aka TIG), GMAW (aka MIG), etc. Management will provide training and oversight.
\nPerforms other duties as assigned or required.

\nJOB QUALIFICATIONS:
\nRequires a high degree of technical acumen and hands-on skills.
\nEntry level knowledge of and experience with a variety of tools (e.g., mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, etc.).
\nMust demonstrate the ability to work safely and look out for the safety of others.
\nMust demonstrate and maintain a good driver s record.
\nMust have reliable transportation.
\nMust have or demonstrate a willingness to gain an understanding of engineering concepts, principles, codes, and processes.
\nMust possess the ability to understand new concepts quickly and apply them accurately throughout an evolving environment. In other words, be coach-able and flexible.
\nMust have excellent communication, computer, documentation, presentation, and interpersonal skills, ability to work independently and as part of a team; able to perform simple tasks.
\nMust be Windows Operating System (OS) software (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) proficient.
\nA willingness to become proficient in CAD software, such as SolidWorks, is desirable.
\nAble to walk for long periods of time, stoop, squat, climb, and work extended hours and weekends if required.
\nWHAT YOU WILL LEARN:

\nWelding symbol interpretation
\nWelding skills; training provided by an AWS certified welding educator
\nWeld Workmanship Standards, both commercial and US Navy
\nManufacturing process workflows
\nSpecial Process (i.e., welding) quality controls
\nManufacturing Execution System (MES) knowledge (i.e., ProShop)
\nCOMPESATION:
\n$16.00 - $20.00 per hour, depending on experience
\nTravel Percentage Required: 0 10%
