Key Responsibilities Including but not limited to:
- Define and execute strategy for Delta's AWS foundations, including networking, identity, security guardrails, and automation.
- Manage private and public cloud platforms, enabling hybrid-cloud modernization and mission-critical migrations to AWS.
- Oversee multi-account AWS environments leveraging AWS Organizations and Control Tower for compliance, scalability, and performance.
- Partner with Enterprise Architecture, Cybersecurity, and Infrastructure Operations to align modernization roadmaps and resiliency frameworks.
- Drive adoption of Infrastructure-as-Code and automation tooling (Terraform, CloudFormation, Ansible Tower).
- Advance DevOps maturity through self-service provisioning and cloud-native enablement.
- Integrate observability and monitoring frameworks (CloudWatch, Datadog, New Relic) for proactive reliability management.
- Lead, mentor, and grow a team of AWS engineers and specialists, fostering a culture of excellence and accountability.
- Champion Delta's values of Care, Integrity, Resilience, and Servant Leadership in day-to-day operations.
- Serve as a key voice in Delta's Cloud Center of Excellence, influencing enterprise standards and architectural best practices.

What you need to succeed (minimum qualifications)
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
- 8+ years of experience in IT infrastructure, cloud engineering, or platform architecture.
- 5+ years of leadership experience managing technical teams.
- Deep hands-on experience with AWS services (IAM, VPC, EC2, S3, Lambda, CloudTrail, Config, Control Tower).
- Proven experience managing multi-account AWS environments with strong security and compliance governance.
- Proficiency with Infrastructure-as-Code and automation tools (Terraform, CloudFormation, Ansible Tower).
- Strong understanding of cloud architecture, network design, and automation best practices.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and strategic planning skills.

What will give you a competitive edge (preferred qualifications)
- 10+ years of experience designing and managing enterprise-scale AWS environments.
- AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Professional (or equivalent).
- Experience leading cloud modernization programs in large, regulated environments.
- Knowledge of DevOps pipelines (GitHub, Jenkins, CodePipeline) and observability tooling (Datadog, New Relic, CloudWatch).
- Demonstrated ability to lead through influence and guide architectural decisions across multiple technology domains.
