Job Summary:
Our client is seeking a VP of ERP to oversee the stabilization, governance, and transformation of the organization s ERP (D365) platform along with related financial applications such as Coupa and other business systems. This leader is tasked not only with resolving current challenges and stabilizing the environment but also with shaping ERP/FIS into a strategic driver for the enterprise. The role exists to enable agility, innovation, and scalable growth through ERP and business applications that deliver measurable value for Finance, Operations, and the broader business.
Responsibilities: ERP & Financial Systems Leadership

  • Provide end-to-end leadership of ERP/D365 and supporting finance systems.
  • Ensure the stability of the current ecosystem, with effective integrations across Coupa, Azure, and other enterprise tools.
  • Manage third-party vendors and integration partners, holding them accountable for outcomes.

Driving Business Enablement

  • Position ERP/FIS as a foundation for business intelligence and agility, enabling scenario planning, predictive analytics, and inventory visibility.
  • Collaborate closely with FP&A, Accounting, Procurement, and Technology leaders to ensure ERP platforms support strategic reporting, capital allocation, and decision-making.
  • Expand ERP/FIS capabilities beyond transactional processing to unlock growth and competitive advantage.

Governance & Strategy

  • Create a governance model and long-term strategic roadmap for ERP/FIS.
  • Align system functionality with redesigned processes (R2R, P2P, FA/Capex, Intercompany).
  • Standardize data governance, chart of accounts, and reporting across the enterprise.
  • Safeguard systems to be secure, scalable, and audit-ready.

Transformation & Delivery

  • Lead ERP reimplementation in conjunction with Finance Transformation initiatives.
  • Partner with the PMO and Transformation Program Manager to ensure milestones are met.
  • Guarantee seamless integration of ERP with Coupa, Snowflake, and other enterprise systems.

Operational Excellence

  • Track ERP/application performance and drive ongoing improvements.
  • Establish disciplined QA, release management, and change management practices.
  • Oversee ERP/FIS budgets and deliver cost-efficient solutions.

Leadership & Talent Development

  • Build and manage a high-performing ERP/FIS team spanning Business Solutions and Platform Engineering.
  • Develop consultants and engineers into trusted partners for Finance and Operations.
  • Promote a culture of accountability, innovation, and collaboration.


Qualifications:

  • 15 20+ years of ERP/financial systems leadership, with expertise in stabilization, master data, and transformation initiatives.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft D365, Coupa, Azure, and complementary financial/business applications.
  • Demonstrated success transforming ERP/FIS into a strategic growth enabler.
  • Direct experience leading ERP implementations in complex, global, multi-entity organizations.
  • Skilled in vendor management, governance, and contract negotiations.
  • Proven ability to align ERP systems with redesigned finance processes (R2R, P2P, FA, Intercompany).
  • Prior experience within private equity backed or multi-entity companies strongly preferred.
  • Bachelor s degree required; advanced degree preferred; ERP certifications are a plus.
