Job Description - Senior Salesforce QA Engineer

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Senior/Lead Salesforce QA Automation Engineer with 6+ years of hands-on experience in Salesforce testing and QA automation. The ideal candidate will lead test strategy, automation frameworks, and quality assurance activities across Salesforce implementations. This role requires deep expertise in Salesforce platform testing, automation tools, CI/CD, and Agile delivery, along with leadership skills to guide QA teams and ensure product excellence.

Key Responsibilities
  • Define and implement test strategies, automation frameworks, and QA best practices for Salesforce projects.
  • Collaborate with business analysts, developers, and stakeholders to understand requirements and design effective test coverage.
  • Develop, execute, and maintain automated test scripts for Salesforce features (UI, API, integrations, workflows, approvals, security, data, etc.).
  • Perform functional, regression, integration, and UAT testing across multiple Salesforce orgs and environments.
  • Lead automation efforts using Selenium, TestNG, Provar, ACCELQ, or similar tools.
  • Integrate test automation with CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, Bitbucket, etc.) for continuous testing.
  • Utilize SOQL/SOSL queries to validate data, workflows, and backend processes.
  • Review and analyze bug reports, system defects, and quality metrics, ensuring timely resolution.
  • Troubleshoot automation and system issues, optimizing testing efficiency and reliability.
  • Mentor junior QA engineers and provide technical leadership in automation and test design.
  • Ensure compliance with audit, security, and data privacy (PII) testing standards.
  • Drive continuous improvement of QA practices and proactive defect prevention.

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 6+ years of experience in QA testing, with at least 4+ years in Salesforce QA Automation.
  • Strong knowledge of Salesforce features: page layouts, profiles, permissions, security/sharing models, workflows, approvals, and validation rules.
  • Hands-on expertise with Selenium WebDriver/IDE, TestNG, and automation frameworks.
  • Proficiency with Salesforce test automation tools such as Provar, ACCELQ, Copado, or similar.
  • Experience in API testing (REST/SOAP) using Postman, REST Assured, or similar tools.
  • Solid understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies and continuous regression automation.
  • Strong knowledge of SOQL/SOSL queries for data validation.
  • Experience with Jira/Confluence for test management and defect tracking.
  • Excellent analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and leadership abilities to guide QA teams.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Salesforce QA/Testing or Automation certifications.
  • Experience in multi-org and multi-country Salesforce implementations.
  • Knowledge of DevOps, Git-based version control, and CI/CD pipeline automation.
  • Familiarity with cloud testing, mobile Salesforce apps, and Salesforce Lightning testing.
  • Contribute to Salesforce development using Apex classes, triggers, Lightning Web Components (LWC), and Visualforce as needed for testing or enhancement purposes.
  • Validate and test customizations, configurations, and integrations within Salesforce orgs.
  • Hands-on experience in Apex (classes, triggers), Lightning Web Components (LWC), and Visualforce.
  • Strong knowledge of Salesforce platform capabilities including custom development, declarative configurations, and security/sharing models.
