Job Description:

Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Systems Administrator to join our team! In this role you will get to support day-to-day operations of our systems infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have system administration experience with Microsoft servers and workstations, virtualization technologies, storage solutions, and Cisco routers and switches.

What You'll Be Doing:
  • Install and configure hardware and software components
  • Monitor system performance and capacity to ensure optimal performance
  • Troubleshoot and resolve system issues
  • Perform system upgrades and patches
  • Participate in on-call rotation for after-hours support
  • Develop and maintain disaster recovery plans and procedures
  • Implement security measures to protect systems from cyber threats
  • Manage user accounts and access controls
  • Develop and maintain system documentation
  • Participate in the design & implementation of new systems infrastructure
  • Collaborate with vendors to evaluate new technologies & solutions
  • Provide technical guidance & mentorship to junior team members.
  • Participate in project planning & execution ,ensuring timely delivery of projects within budget constraints.
  • Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies, industry trends, & best practices.

What Required Skills You'll Bring:
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a Systems Administrator.
  • Experience with Microsoft Windows Server 2012 R2, Server 2016 or Server 2019.
  • Experience performing systems administration functions with PowerShell
  • Experience with virtualization technologies such as VMware or Hyper-V.
  • Knowledge of storage solutions such as SAN/NAS technologies.
  • Understanding of networking protocols such as TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP etc.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex issues.
  • Position will require on-call rotation for after hours/weekend support

What Desired Certifications You'll Bring:
  • CompTIA A+, Network+, or Security+
  • VMware Certified Professional (VCP)
  • Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA)
