Job Title: IBM FTM (Financial Transaction Manager) Consultant

Location: NYC, NY (Onsite/Hybrid)


Job Description:

Seeking an experienced IBM FTM Consultant to support configuration, maintenance, and light development activities within the IBM Financial Transaction Manager platform. The role involves enhancing transaction processing workflows, resolving production issues, and ensuring smooth integration with upstream and downstream financial systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Configure and maintain IBM FTM modules for payment processing and transaction management.
  • Perform minor development, customizations, and enhancements using IBM FTM frameworks.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve production issues, ensuring high system availability.
  • Support integration with financial systems, APIs, and external payment networks.
  • Collaborate with business and IT teams to gather requirements and implement functional changes.
  • Optimize workflows, rules, and transaction processing logic for performance and compliance.

Required Skills:

  • 5 10+ years of experience with IBM Financial Transaction Manager (FTM).
  • Strong knowledge of payment processing, clearing, routing, and regulatory compliance.
  • Hands-on experience in configuration, rules management, and workflow tuning.
  • Ability to perform minor development using Java, IBM Integration Bus, or related components.
  • Experience with MQ, APIs, and integration with banking/financial applications.

Preferred:

  • Experience with ACH, Wire, RTP, or ISO 20022 payment formats.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
