Job Description:
*** The candidate must reside in North Carolina.
**This position is hybrid. The candidate will be required to work onsite if requested.
NCDOT is seeking an Expert Level Specialist to provide testing support with the DOT IT Enterprise Testing Team. The support consists of software testing of new releases/upgrades to applications developed by DOT IT for deployment.
Review and analysis of project requirements for clarity, understanding and testability
Development of system test plans and manual test cases
Execution of the test cases and test scripts
Defect management and reporting
Providing input or creating testing artifacts to include but not be limited to: Test Plans, Test Results, Metrics and Defect Reports
Providing weekly status reports to Management
Skill Required / Desired
Amount of Experience
Experience testing complex business applications across technologies, including API and Webservice testing, Mainframe, Database, .NET, etc. Required 7 Years
Experience in designing test plans, manual test case definition and test case execution, review and analysis of project requirements Required 7 Years
Demonstrated ability to excel in documentation of Test cases, test plans, test artifacts Required 7 Years
Demonstrated ability to ensure traceability between requirements, test cases, and defects. Required 7 Years
Strong Microsoft Suite experience (M365 Copilot, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio) Required 7 Years
Experience with Tricentis Tool Suite (qTest, Tosca, NeoLoad), Postman, SoapUI. Required 7 Years
Experience testing in an Agile life-cycle environment including attending daily and defect triage meeting Required 7 Years
Work closely with developers, product owners, and business stakeholders to ensure test coverage and quality standards. Required 7 Years
Experience testing DOT/DMV complex projects Desired 3 Years
Experience using the AI features in qTest and Tosca Desired 6 Months
