Job Details
Job Role: Senior Engineer
Client location: Houston, TX or NYC (3 days Hybrid)
Duration: 12 months contract
Job Description:
• Focus: Migration of statistical R-based codebase to Python.
• Must-haves:
o Proficiency in Python (4+ yrs) – end-to-end engineering, not just analysis.
o Proficiency in R – must understand complex functional programming, classes, and data frames.
o Data frame manipulation, data processing.
• Nice-to-haves:
o Kubernetes, KFP, distributed compute tasks.
o API development.
o SQL (nice-to-have, not required).
• Priority work: Code translation + documentation.
Deal breaker: Less than 2 years of Python experience
