Sr. Network Engineer Local to Jacksonville, FL

Overview: The Senior Network Engineer will be responsible for working across all levels of the business, with emphasis on providing expert network infrastructure support to IT management and users, with a focus on route/switch networking, and VPN. Google Cloud Platform and AWS cloud network responsibilities will be limited but expected to expand to include technical oversight of the cloud network.

Duties Include:

• Responsible for setting technical solutions for new products that use our network security infrastructure or connectivity models
• Define, measure, and analyze key metrics to assess overall effectiveness of LAN/WAN network performance, capacity, associated monitoring
• Manage network implementations, configuration, and routing changes, and vpn connectivity
• Adheres to and supports change, incident, and problem management ITIL processes
• Proactively identifies, recommends, and champions emerging technologies, monitoring solutions, and processes that will enhance the end user experience that can be supported by Technology
• Effectively communicate and interact with internal users, vendors, and customers
• Uses problem management techniques to solve difficult technical problems

Key responsibilities:

• Define network requirements, establish architecture, and detail designs and standards that meet business goals
• Effectively manage and support LAN/WAN network implementations and configurations, Routing, Switching, Firewalls, Wireless, Voice and Video solutions
• Provide leadership to manage the network infrastructure and related support organizations including MSPs, cloud providers, and communications vendors
• Perform root cause analysis and problem resolutions, provide recommendations, build consensus, and execute solutions
