Data Engineer (Informatica)

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client that is seeking a Data Engineer (informatica) in Westlake, TX.

Duties Include:
* Data Engineer will design, develop, test, and maintain ETL processes using Informatica and other modern technologies
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and deliver scalable data solutions
* Participate in architecture design and contribute to application-level architecture decisions
* Develop and maintain Unix/Linux shell scripts and support mainframe integrations
* Analyze and optimize existing codebases and data workflows for performance and scalability
* Support QA readiness, system testing, and documentation for multiple applications or subsystems
* Identify opportunities for automation and process improvement
* Participate in Agile ceremonies and contribute to backlog refinement and sprint planning

REQUIREMENTS:
* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
* Extensive experience with ETL tools, particularly Informatica
* Proficiency in Java, Python, SQL, and relational databases
* Experience with Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban) and tools like JIRA
* Familiarity with data analysis tools such as Tableau
* Strong understanding of Unix/Linux environments and shell scripting
* Excellent communication and collaboration skills
* Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment

Preferred Skills:
* Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) and tools like Kafka and SnapLogic
* Knowledge of mainframe technologies including COBOL, DB2, CICS, JCL, and VSAM
* Domain knowledge in Retirement Services or HR/Payroll data onboarding
* Experience with full project lifecycle planning and risk management
* Strategic thinking and critical problem-solving abilities

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
