JOB TITLE: Lead System Engineer

REMOTE TYPE: Office Worker

*Office Worker: In office position with work from home allowed, i.e. flex or hybrid worker

JOB LOCATION: 20205 N. Creek Pkwy. Bothell, WA 98011 [Hybrid position]

DUTIES: Contribute to the design and implementation of cloud solutions that are secure, scalable, resilient, monitored, auditable, and cost optimized. Design and develop solutions for Azure migrations and transformation tools. Migrate existing platforms and applications to Azure. Automate cloud-based infrastructure deployments and maintenance. Build, manage, and maintain tools for deployment, monitoring, and operations. Evaluate and recommend tools, technologies, and processes to ensure quality and performance. Focus on scalability, security, and availability of all infrastructure and processes. Identify and address infrastructure deficiencies, availability gaps, and performance bottlenecks. Serve as an escalation point of contact for T2-T3 cloud infrastructure support. Assist with determining the technical feasibility of solutions for business requirements. Utilize Azure core cloud technologies in a high traffic production setting. Apply advanced experience migrating applications to clouds using native patterns. Utilize core Azure cloud technologies including Azure DevOps, VMSS, Vnet, Azure Load balancer, Azure Application gateway, Azure Private Link, Cosmos DB, Azure Monitor/Application Insights, AKS, Azure Cache, Event Hub, and Azure Functions. Build cloud automation and orchestration solutions using CloudFormation, Chef, and Puppet. Build CICD technologies including GitHub, Maven, Jenkins, and Nexus. Performance tune in a cloud environment. Design, implement and manage monitoring solutions for production cloud environments. Design and implement highly available cloud and hybrid cloud network solutions. Apply advanced knowledge of cloud security and preventative and retrospective controls. Create security roles (RBAC) and group policies, provide authorization, and complete auditing. Use open-source cloud agnostic technologies including Docker, Kubernetes, MuleSoft, Redis, NGINX, Kafka, Ansible, and Terraform. Leverage both real time and synthetic monitoring solutions including Dynatrace APM monitoring, EFK/ELK/Splunk Log Analytics, Prometheus, and Catchpoint synthetic monitoring. Program solutions using Python and Linux Shell scripting.

REQUIREMENTS: Requires a Master's degree, or foreign equivalent degree, in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or Information Technology Management and two (2) years of experience in the job offered, or two (2) years of experience in a related occupation designing and developing solutions for Azure migrations and transformation tools; migrating existing platforms and applications to Azure; automating cloud-based infrastructure deployments and maintenance; building, managing, and maintaining tools for deployment, monitoring, and operations; utilizing core Azure cloud technologies including Azure DevOps, VMSS, Vnet, Azure Load balancer, Azure Application gateway, Azure Private Link, Cosmos DB, Azure Monitor/Application Insights, AKS, Azure Cache, Event Hub, and Azure Functions; building cloud automation and orchestration solutions using CloudFormation, Chef, and Puppet; building CICD technologies including GitHub, Maven, Jenkins, and Nexus; using open-source cloud agnostic technologies including Docker, Kubernetes, MuleSoft, Redis, NGINX, Kafka, Ansible, and Terraform; leveraging both real time and synthetic monitoring solutions including Dynatrace APM monitoring, EFK/ELK/Splunk Log Analytics, Prometheus, and Catchpoint synthetic monitoring; and programming solutions using Python and Linux Shell scripting.
