Job Description
Provides technical leadership and advanced engineering support for complex OT/ICS systems. Responsible for system architecture, design standards development, and technical guidance across all facility operational technology systems. Leads technical solution development and serves as a subject matter expert for critical systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Technical leadership for OT/ICS system architecture and design
- Develop and maintain system design standards and best practices
- Provide expert-level troubleshooting and problem resolution
- Lead lifecycle planning and modernization efforts
- Review and approve technical designs and system changes
- Mentor junior technical staff and provide knowledge transfer
- Interface with vendors and technical stakeholders on complex issues
- Support capital planning and CIF request development
Required Qualifications
Education: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Systems Engineering, or related technical field. Master's degree preferred.
Experience:
- Minimum 10 years of systems engineering experience
- 7+ years working with OT/ICS systems (BAS, SCADA, industrial controls)
- 5+ years in critical infrastructure or healthcare facility environments
- Experience with Siemens (Desigo CC, Insight) and Johnson Controls (Metasys) systems
- Knowledge of NIST SP 800-82r3 and OT security frameworks
Certifications:
- Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred
- Certified Control Systems Technician (CCST) or similar
- CISSP or equivalent security certification
- Vendor-specific certifications (Siemens, Johnson Controls) are highly desired
Skills:
- Expert knowledge of building automation and control systems
- Strong understanding of OT network architectures and protocols
- Experience with system integration and interoperability
- Knowledge of federal cybersecurity requirements and compliance
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving capabilities
