Job Description
BAE Systems is seeking a Senior Payroll Financial Analyst with exceptional analytic skills to join our Shared Services Payroll operations support team. This position reports to Payroll Manager I, Operations Support. You will provide payroll operational support to stakeholders focused on minimizing risk and maximizing compliance by managing key payroll processes and executing process improvements. This position will manage complex payroll projects providing opportunities to take on new challenges and provide stabilization to existing processes.

In this job, you will:
  • Work independently, but in a cross-functional team environment supporting time collections, payroll, garnishments and payroll tax
  • Be responsible for:
    • Managing and automating employee "monies owed" process, tracking and collecting monies owed to BAE
    • Supporting development, collection and documentation of key performance metrics
    • Developing and executing process to streamline billing for Payroll services to our various business sectors
    • Managing funding reconciliations for weekly and biweekly payrolls
    • Spot auditing key controls on a monthly basis to assess and ensure compliance
    • Monitoring SLA metrics on Service Now cases and escalate as needed to department managers
  • Utilize strong communication skills to interface with various internal stakeholders and third party vendors
  • Prepare status reports and other finance and administrative analysis and reporting
  • Assist with project implementations and process improvements as needed
  • Other duties as assigned.
Required Education, Experience, and Skills
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance or equivalent experience
  • Prior experience with Payroll accounting / analysis is required (4+ years)
  • Demonstrated experience performing accounting services as a defense/government contractor in a regulated and compliant organization, specifically DCAA, is strongly preferred
  • CPP is preferred
  • Advanced experience with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) is required
  • Prior experience implementing process improvements in Shared Services organization
  • Prior experience with data analysis is required (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables)
  • Must have strong problem-solving, analytical and in-depth research skills
  • Self-motivated with an appetite for root cause analysis and resolution
  • Able to prioritize and self-manage a multitasked workload in a fast-paced environment

Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $64,440 - $109,530

Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
