Job Description:

Key Responsibilities:

1. Lead the architecture and development of backend services and APIs using Express.js and Node.js, with integration into eCommerce platform (like CommerceTools etc)
2. Provide technical leadership to the development team, including mentoring, code reviews, and best practice enforcement.
3. Define architecture patterns, integration strategies, and API design for commerce services like product catalog, cart, checkout, pricing, and order management.
4. Collaborate with product owners, architects, and DevOps to align technical solutions with business goals.
5. Ensure compliance with data privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR) and security standards.
6. Guide team in implementing CI/CD pipelines, code quality standards, and release management using platforms such as Azure DevOps.
7. Work closely with the QA team to ensure coverage for both functional and non-functional requirements.
8. Participate in sprint planning, backlog grooming, and daily stand-ups as part of Agile delivery.

Required Skills & Experience:

1. 8+ years of full-stack/backend development experience, with at least 5 years in Node.js/Express.js.
2. 2+ years of experience as a Technical Lead or Team Lead.
3. Experience working with eCommerce platform would be an advantage. (like CommerceTools or similar headless commerce platforms (e.g., Elastic Path, SAP Commerce Cloud, BigCommerce headless).
4. Deep understanding of RESTful APIs, event-driven architecture, and microservices.
5. Experience working with cloud-native applications, preferably on Azure (Azure Functions, Azure App Services, etc.).
6. Proven ability to lead solution design sessions and produce high-quality technical documentation.
7. Familiarity with OAuth2, and secure API practices.
