Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Security Network Engineer to join our manufacturing client in a long-term contract or contract-to-permanent role. This role focuses on protecting and enhancing the organization's network infrastructure through the implementation of top-tier cybersecurity protocols. Key Responsibilities: Incident, Problem, and Change Management: Implement strong management processes to ensure consistent service delivery and minimize downtime. Network Administration: Install, configure, and maintain network systems, including regular software updates and enhancements. Performance Monitoring & Issue Resolution: Troubleshoot complex issues to maintain optimal network performance and uninterrupted service. Upgrades & Data Security: Plan and execute system upgrades, patches, and disaster recovery protocols while safeguarding data integrity. Cybersecurity Strategy: Develop and enforce robust security measures to protect sensitive organizational data and infrastructure. Cutting-Edge Security Practices: Incorporate advanced concepts such as Zero Trust Architecture and cloud-based solutions (e.g., Microsoft Azure, M365). Regular Audits & Risk Assessments: Identify vulnerabilities, ensure compliance with regulations, and address potential threats proactively. Team Leadership & Mentorship: Lead a team of network and security specialists, fostering collaboration and detail oriented growth. Network Architecture Design: Maintain efficient system backups, network design, and seamless software upgrade implementations. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with various departments to resolve network and security requirements efficiently. IT Support Oversight: Manage 24x7 Help Desk operations, ensuring streamlined support processes.

Requirements

Required Skills and Experience: Extensive Expertise:7+ years in network and cybersecurity engineering roles. Advanced Technical Skills:Proficiency with Border Gateway Protocol (BGP), Checkpoint Firewalls, Cisco ASA firewalls, routers, and related tools. Authentication & Configuration Knowledge:Strong understanding of authentication protocols and configuration management. Cloud & Systems Familiarity:Experience with Microsoft Office, Windows operating systems, SQL Server, and cloud-based solutions. Risk Assessment & Mitigation:Proven ability to conduct security audits, risk assessments, and develop mitigation strategies. Disaster Recovery & Backup Management:Expertise in designing and managing disaster recovery solutions. Problem-Solving & Leadership:Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to mentor team members.
