Job Description:
We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Business Analyst with over 10 years of proven expertise in requirements gathering, business process analysis, and stakeholder management. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in working with cross-functional teams, translating complex business needs into clear technical requirements, and driving end-to-end project success in a fast-paced environment.
This is an onsite role in Houston, TX, requiring direct collaboration with business and technology teams.
Key Responsibilities:
Partner with business stakeholders, product owners, and technical teams to gather, analyze, and document business and system requirements.
Conduct gap analysis, feasibility studies, and impact assessments to support decision-making.
Develop BRDs (Business Requirement Documents), FRDs (Functional Requirement Documents), Use Cases, and User Stories.
Facilitate JAD sessions, workshops, and stakeholder meetings for requirements elicitation and validation.
Collaborate closely with project managers, solution architects, developers, and QA teams to ensure alignment of business needs with delivered solutions.
Drive process improvements, automation initiatives, and operational efficiencies.
Support UAT planning, execution, and defect triage to ensure solution quality.
Create dashboards, reports, and presentations to communicate requirements and progress to leadership.
Act as a trusted advisor for business leaders, ensuring alignment of IT solutions with organizational strategy.
Required Skills & Experience:
10+ years of professional experience as a Business Analyst, with strong exposure to enterprise-level projects.
Proven expertise in requirements elicitation, documentation, and validation techniques.
Strong background in Agile (Scrum/Kanban) and Waterfall methodologies.
Hands-on experience with tools such as JIRA, Confluence, MS Visio, MS Project, and SQL for data analysis.
Excellent understanding of business process modeling, data mapping, and workflow analysis.
Strong knowledge in at least one of the following domains: Energy, Oil & Gas, Financial Services, Healthcare, or Supply Chain.
Exceptional communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
Ability to work onsite in Houston, TX (mandatory).
Nice-to-Have Skills:
Experience with ERP (SAP, Oracle, or similar) systems.
Knowledge of data analytics, reporting tools (Tableau/Power BI).
Exposure to regulatory compliance and data governance frameworks.
Education:
Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field (Master’s preferred).
