Job Title: Senior Business Analyst

Location: Houston, TX (Onsite)

Job Description:

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Business Analyst with over 10 years of proven expertise in requirements gathering, business process analysis, and stakeholder management. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in working with cross-functional teams, translating complex business needs into clear technical requirements, and driving end-to-end project success in a fast-paced environment.

This is an onsite role in Houston, TX, requiring direct collaboration with business and technology teams.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Partner with business stakeholders, product owners, and technical teams to gather, analyze, and document business and system requirements.

  • Conduct gap analysis, feasibility studies, and impact assessments to support decision-making.

  • Develop BRDs (Business Requirement Documents), FRDs (Functional Requirement Documents), Use Cases, and User Stories.

  • Facilitate JAD sessions, workshops, and stakeholder meetings for requirements elicitation and validation.

  • Collaborate closely with project managers, solution architects, developers, and QA teams to ensure alignment of business needs with delivered solutions.

  • Drive process improvements, automation initiatives, and operational efficiencies.

  • Support UAT planning, execution, and defect triage to ensure solution quality.

  • Create dashboards, reports, and presentations to communicate requirements and progress to leadership.

  • Act as a trusted advisor for business leaders, ensuring alignment of IT solutions with organizational strategy.


Required Skills & Experience:

  • 10+ years of professional experience as a Business Analyst, with strong exposure to enterprise-level projects.

  • Proven expertise in requirements elicitation, documentation, and validation techniques.

  • Strong background in Agile (Scrum/Kanban) and Waterfall methodologies.

  • Hands-on experience with tools such as JIRA, Confluence, MS Visio, MS Project, and SQL for data analysis.

  • Excellent understanding of business process modeling, data mapping, and workflow analysis.

  • Strong knowledge in at least one of the following domains: Energy, Oil & Gas, Financial Services, Healthcare, or Supply Chain.

  • Exceptional communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.

  • Ability to work onsite in Houston, TX (mandatory).


Nice-to-Have Skills:

  • Experience with ERP (SAP, Oracle, or similar) systems.

  • Knowledge of data analytics, reporting tools (Tableau/Power BI).

  • Exposure to regulatory compliance and data governance frameworks.


Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field (Master’s preferred).
