Description

We are looking for a skilled Sr. Network Architect to join our team in Wilmer, Texas. This is a long-term contract position, offering the opportunity to work in a dynamic environment that blends IT and OT systems within a large-scale manufacturing facility. The role involves hands-on network design, optimization, and documentation, ensuring robust performance and security for critical operations.

Responsibilities:
  • Analyze and redesign undocumented network infrastructure, creating precise documentation and diagrams.
  • Implement and maintain high-performance Cisco networking equipment, including routers, switches, and wireless access points.
  • Configure and manage Fortinet firewalls, ensuring secure and reliable connectivity.
  • Collaborate with IT and corporate teams to align network strategies with operational goals.
  • Support network integration with manufacturing systems, including robotics and operational technology.
  • Drive projects focused on network standardization, security architecture redesign, and legacy system centralization.
  • Utilize tools such as Confluence and Draw.io to document network configurations and workflows.
  • Provide technical guidance for the autonomy of site operations, supporting advanced warehouse models.
  • Maintain network availability and security in a 24x7 facility, with potential on-call duties as needed.


Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience working with Cisco networking technologies such as routers, switches, and wireless equipment.
  • Proficiency in configuring and managing Fortinet firewalls.
  • Strong ability to create detailed network documentation using tools like Draw.io and Confluence.
  • Familiarity with IT and OT systems integration in manufacturing environments.
  • Expertise in network security and architecture redesign.
  • Demonstrated experience in handling large-scale facilities and critical operations.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and adapt to dynamic requirements.
  • Availability to work during regular business hours with occasional on-call responsibilities.
