Oracle SQL Cloud Analyst
Job Details
We are seeking an Oracle Resource with deep expertise in Oracle RAC architecture, Azure cloud environments, and database migration strategies. The ideal candidate will be responsible for analyzing existing Oracle infrastructure and code bases, assessing migration complexity, and designing forward-looking solutions in Azure. This role requires strong technical skills, strategic thinking, and the ability to provide actionable insights for future-state architecture planning and migration paths.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze existing Oracle RAC architecture and complex PL/SQL code packages to identify performance bottlenecks, dependencies, and architectural improvement opportunities.
- Present and document future-state architecture options for Oracle deployments within Microsoft Azure, including pros/cons, cost implications, and scalability considerations.
- Evaluate and implement Oracle on Azure configurations, including VM-based Oracle installations and use of Oracle Autonomous Database on Azure where applicable.
- Review output from the SQL Server Migration Assistant (SSMA) and assess the complexity and feasibility of migrating to Azure SQL or PostgreSQL.
- Perform UNC path discovery and design a secure and efficient path migration process for Oracle-dependent file locations.
- Develop or refine delta sync processes for transactional tables, ensuring accurate and consistent data replication between environments.
