  • Manage and scale containerized environments using Kubernetes, Docker, Rancher, and Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), ensuring high availability, performance, and security.
  • Evaluate and implement emerging virtualization and container technologies to support hybrid cloud and on-premise infrastructure strategies.
  • Collaborate with automation and DevOps teams to streamline deployment, scaling, and lifecycle management using infrastructure as code tools like Terraform, Ansible, and PowerShell.
  • Work closely with network, cloud, and systems teams to ensure seamless integration across virtualization, containerization, and cloud infrastructure.
  • Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement proactive improvements to enhance reliability and efficiency.
  • Participate in architectural planning and modernization efforts to align infrastructure with business goals.
  • Support incident response, root cause analysis, and post-mortems related to virtualization and container platforms.
  • Ensure compliance with security policies and industry regulations while optimizing resource utilization and cost efficiency.

Position Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience in enterprise virtualization and containerization.
  • Hands-on expertise with Azure Stack HCI, Nutanix, OpenStack, Red Hat KVM, and/or Canonical.
  • Strong background in Kubernetes, Docker, and container orchestration platforms.
  • Proven experience in automating and optimizing infrastructure operations.
  • Leadership experience mentoring and guiding engineering teams.
  • Familiarity with security, compliance, and cost optimization in virtualized environments.

Preferred

  • Experience with hybrid cloud infrastructure and integration.
  • Strong scripting or infrastructure-as-code skills (e.g., Terraform, Ansible, PowerShell).
  • Ability to evaluate and implement open-source and enterprise virtualization solutions.
  • Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
  • Strategic mindset with a hands-on approach to problem-solving.

Benefits

  • Comprehensive benefits package.
  • Training and mentorship opportunities.
  • On-campus wellness activities.
  • Education reimbursement program.
  • 401(k) program with discretionary employer match.
  • Generous vacation accrual and paid holiday schedule.

Please note that the compensation range may be adjusted in the future, and bonus and incentive compensation plans may apply.
