Job Details

Role: Principal Architect
Location: Remote

We want someone who is a Principal Architect or an enterprise Architect with AI experience and cloud computing. See below for the other specific technology needs.
Must have great comms and business experience.
Primary Focus: Architecting IT systems, advisor, mentor, negotiator, troubleshooter, and providing a forward-thinking view.
Less about knowing the latest technologies and more about the experience in transforming systems.
Technical Expertise:

  • Experience with both legacy and modern systems (monolith to microservices).
  • Knowledge of cloud computing, message queues (Kafka, RabbitMQ), SQL/NoSQL databases, web/application servers, and BPM technologies.
  • Essential: Strong capabilities in cloud computing and AI.
  • Well-versed in managed services for storage and compute (Google Cloud Platform preferred but other hyperscalers considered).
  • Familiar with UI frameworks (React, Angular; Angular preferred).

Leadership and Influence:

  • Individual contributor role with a focus on influencing stakeholders, leaders, and other architects.
  • Leading by influence rather than direct management.
  • Involvement in POCs, architectural roadmaps, and advisory roles.
  • Generalist Approach: "Mile wide, inch deep " in experience, with the ability to quickly adapt and contribute to various projects.

Specific Technology Examples:

  • Understanding relational vs. NoSQL databases (Postgres vs. MongoDB).
  • Knowledge of managed services and cost implications.
  • AI/ML: Familiarity with AI/ML, GenAI, and conversational interfaces. Understanding of data collection from public domain (RAG architecture).
  • Cloud: Google Cloud Platform preferred, but experience with other hyperscalers (AWS, Azure) is transferable.
  • RPA: Knowledge of RPA (UiPath, Automation Anywhere) is a plus but not a deal-breaker.

Internal Communication:

  • Initially, work with IT leaders, peer community within Gopal's team, application owners, tower leaders (EDs), and VP of the DDA team (IT).
  • Communicate standards, guidelines, and previous CVS studies and decisions.
  • External Communication:
  • Engage with business counterparts for transformation programs.
  • Troubleshooting: Should be able to analyze stuck development issues, come to calls and troubleshoot, and provide insights, though hands-on coding is not a primary responsibility.
  • Key Attributes: Technical expertise, presentation skills, and clear communication.
  • Resume Length: Maximum 2-3 pages.
