Job Summary
This position is responsible for managing the Design Engineering Electrical/I&C/Digital department to offer design services that supports maintaining the design bases and licensing bases (Configuration control for the Nuclear Power Facility). This design organization maintains consistency and standards in all design documents and for changes. The Electrical/I&C/Digital Design Department is the technical leader for all related design issues and is required to be fluent in any industry, regulatory and technical changes. The manager is the focal point for interfacing with regulators, contractors and Industry groups.

Job Description

Key Accountabilities

• Maintains the Plant design and licensing basis including Subject Matter Experts to support Design and licensing including 10CFR 50.59 and 72.48.
• Owner of the Equipment Qualification Program, Cable and Raceway Program and the Digital Human Factors Program
• Performs Electrical/I&C/Digital Design Preparation and/or Reviews
• Leads or Supports design engineering changes/projects and Task Teams
• Resolves Condition Reports and addresses Operating Experience
• Facilitates staffing activities
• Directs the activities of the individual contributors within the group
• Prioritizes and approves group activities and work products
• Allocates personnel and budget to complete engineering activities and meet department/site goals
• Provides timely resolution to technical problems to ensure safe, reliable, and cost-effective plant operation
• Provides engineering recommendations and priorities important to plant design and operations
• Controls costs within approved budget limits
• Interfaces with State and Federal regulators to demonstrate continued safe operation of the Nuclear Power Plant facility.

Education, Experience, & Skill Requirements

• Engineering 4 Year Degree from a credited School.
• Design Engineering experience with familiarity with the Design Control program at a Nuclear Facility.
• Previous leadership / supervisory experience favorable
• An advanced knowledge of Electrical/I&C/Digital design.
• Technical understanding of nuclear plant processes, programs, and procedures
• Knowledge of nuclear codes, standards and regulations; to include Licensing knowledge at a Nuclear Power Plant.
• Nuclear policies and guidelines to for Engineering Organizations including Chapter 15 nuclear safety analysis
• Professional Engineering registration preferred
• Plant Certification or SRO Certification/License is recommended.
• Ability to obtain Design Qualifications at the Nuclear Facility.
