Job Description
We are looking for an Apple macOS Specialist to join our IT team and provide technical support and administration for our Apple devices and software. You will be responsible for deploying, configuring, managing, and troubleshooting Apple macOS devices and applications using Jamf Pro, Apple DEP, Jamf Admin, LAPS, Local Admin management, Jamf Connect, and Beyond Trust management tools. You will also collaborate with other IT staff and end users to ensure optimal performance and security of our Apple environment.
Responsibilities:
Deploy, configure, and manage macOS devices and applications using Jamf Pro, Apple DEP, Jamf Admin, LAPS, Local Admin management, Jamf Connect, and Beyond Trust management tools.
Proficiency in macOS imaging and deployment, patching, backup, and restoration of Apple macOS devices and applications.
Strong understanding of Jamf Connect and its integration with identity services.
Provide technical support and troubleshooting for Apple macOS devices and applications, including hardware, software, network, and security issues.
Strong scripting skills (e.g., Bash, Python).
Monitor and maintain the health and performance of Apple macOS devices and applications and report any issues or incidents to the IT manager.
Ensure compliance with IT policies and standards and implement security best practices for Apple macOS devices and applications.
Document and update procedures, guides, and manuals for Apple macOS devices and applications.
Research and evaluate new Apple macOS devices and applications and provide recommendations for improvement and enhancement.
Train and assist end users on how to use Apple macOS devices and applications effectively and efficiently.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field, or equivalent work experience.
At least 5-6 years of experience in Apple macOS device and application support and administration.
Extensive knowledge and experience with Jamf Pro, Apple DEP, Jamf Admin, LAPS, Local Admin management, Jamf Connect, and Beyond Trust management tools.
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills for Apple macOS devices and applications.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Certification in Apple Certified Support Professional (ACSP), Jamf Certified Expert (JCE), or equivalent is preferred.
