Job Description:

Title: Hardware Test Engineer

Location: Redmond, WA

Type: Contract w/ extension or conversion possible

Offered: Medical Insurance, PTO, Holiday Pay, 401K, Weekly Pay on W2, etc.

Responsibilities:
  • The Hardware System Test Engineer will support the specification, development, test, and operation of the hardware test for various satellite avionics and hardware.
  • This work will include cross-functional coordination to determine test requirements and capabilities.
  • You will ensure HW testing supports both development work and end-product validation.


Qualifications:
  • B.S. in Electrical, Computer, Aerospace, Mechanical Engineering or related field
  • work experience in Aerospace, Automotive, Robotics, Power Electronics, Consumer Electronics, and/or Communications field or combination thereof with hands-on testing and debugging programmable electronics hardware using electrical test equipment (multi-meters, oscilloscopes, power supplies, data acquisition systems, etc.)
  • Experience creating detailed hardware test plans and procedures, driving products through verification and early manufacturing runs
  • Experience with engineering documentation (electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, requirements documentation, interface control, version control)
  • Experience with development of hardware-in-the-loop testing for high volume applications (e.g. automotive, consumer electronics, etc)
  • Knowledge of hardware and software tools for test automation (e.g. Python, C/C++, Linux etc.)
  • Experience with rapid iteration prototypes and joint hardware/firmware development; partnering with software/hardware engineers to bring-up and test new hardware designs
  • Familiarity and experience with several communications protocols (e.g. SPI, I2C, Ethernet, CAN-FD, RS-232/422/485, GPIB)

  • Experience working with FPGA or ASIC
