Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Oracle Network Management System (NMS) Consultant to design, implement, and support Oracle Utilities NMS solutions for electric utility clients. The ideal candidate should possess deep knowledge of Outage Management (OMS), Distribution Management (DMS), and Advanced Distribution Management System (ADMS) functionalities, along with hands-on experience in Oracle Utilities Application Framework (OUAF), integrations, and configurations. This role requires strong understanding of utility distribution operations, network modeling, and system integration with platforms like SCADA, GIS, and AMI.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Participate in end-to-end Oracle NMS project lifecycle including requirement analysis, solution design, configuration, integration, testing, and deployment.
  • Configure and maintain NMS modules such as Outage Management, Network Model Management, Switching Operations, Trouble Call Management, and Crew Management.
  • Work closely with utility business teams to analyze workflows, identify gaps, and propose effective Oracle NMS-based solutions.
  • Perform configuration and customization of NMS components Business Objects, Portals, Zones, Algorithms, Scripts, and Batch Processes using OUAF.
  • Support data migration, system integration, and synchronization between NMS, GIS, SCADA, AMI, and other Oracle Utilities applications (CC&B, C2M, WAM, MDM).
  • Develop and troubleshoot Web Services (SOAP/REST), interfaces, and middleware integrations (e.g., Oracle SOA Suite, ESB, or Kafka).
  • Conduct system and user acceptance testing (UAT), prepare design and technical documentation, and provide training to end users.
  • Analyze and resolve issues related to system configuration, data accuracy, and performance in WebLogic and Oracle Database environments.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional technical and business teams to ensure seamless communication between operational and enterprise systems.
  • Provide post-implementation support, monitor system performance, and ensure high availability and reliability of NMS environments.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
  • 10+ years of overall IT experience, including at least 3-5+ years in Oracle NMS / OMS / DMS implementation or support.
  • Strong knowledge of utility distribution operations, outage management, and network connectivity modeling.
  • Experience with Oracle Utilities Application Framework (OUAF), CMA, To Do s, Algorithms, and Batch Management.
  • Proficiency in Oracle SQL, PL/SQL, and working knowledge of WebLogic Application Server.
  • Understanding of SCADA, GIS (ESRI/Smallworld), and AMI system integrations.
  • Familiarity with Oracle Utilities suite NMS, WAM, CC&B, C2M, and MDM.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills with ability to interact with business and technical stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Oracle Utilities NMS version 2.x or higher.
  • Exposure to ADMS (Advanced Distribution Management System) solutions.
  • Oracle Utilities Implementation Specialist certification.
  • Background in electrical network modeling, switching operations, and real-time system integration.
