What this job involves:

This position involves comprehensive maintenance and repair of mechanical, plumbing, electrical, and life safety systems across facility operations. The role encompasses preventative maintenance, emergency response, vendor management, and inventory control to ensure all building systems operate at optimal performance levels while maintaining safety and compliance standards.

Your day-to-day tasks will include:

Perform maintenance, monitoring, and repairs on HVAC, plumbing, electrical, BAS, fire life safety, and lighting systems

Conduct preventative maintenance including cleaning, inspecting, calibrating, and replacing parts on facility equipment

Respond to facility emergencies and service requests in a timely manner

Replace lights, ballasts, fixtures, and repair motors, pumps, and plumbing systems

Prepare maintenance reports, maintain accurate records, and manage equipment inventory

Monitor and evaluate vendor performance regarding quality, pricing, and service delivery

Record equipment readings and make necessary adjustments to ensure proper operation

Verify accuracy of parts deliveries and maintain tool and instrument inventory

Ensure compliance with safety protocols for hazardous materials storage, usage, and disposal

Desired experience and technical skills:

Requirements:

High School diploma or GED equivalent with two years of trades schooling in electrical system design, refrigeration, and HVAC

Certification as a Universal Technician for CFC's (or obtain within 90 days of employment)

Valid driver's license

Working knowledge of computer applications including Word and Excel

Ability to analyze system operations, diagnose problems, and implement corrective actions

Preferred:

Strong customer service and interpersonal communication skills

Self-motivated team player with hands-on mechanical inclination

Comprehensive understanding of safety and environmental protocols

Ability to manage multiple responsibilities and adapt to various tasks

Experience with vendor management and inventory control systems
