RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client that is seeking a Data Engineer in Greenwood Village, CO.

Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Data Engineer/Data Scientist to join a dynamic team focused on optimizing mobile and public Wi-Fi hotspot networks. This role is hands-on with a strong emphasis on data engineering, though there will also be opportunities to engage in data science tasks. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and optimizing data pipelines, structuring large datasets, and leading data investigation efforts to uncover valuable insights from real-world data.

Key Responsibilities:
* Data Engineer will collaborate with stakeholders to identify key data sources, define KPIs, and develop metrics to enhance network and customer experience
* Focus heavily on data structuring and cleaning, ensuring datasets are accurate, usable, and ready for analysis
* Lead efforts to identify and investigate new data sets, optimizing data exploration and extraction for more valuable insights
* Design, build, and maintain data pipelines using AWS, Python, and other tools to ensure smooth data processing and integration
* Use PySpark to handle large-scale data processing and optimize data pipelines
* Work with the Data Lake Services team to bring external data sources into the organization's cloud environment (S3), integrating and organizing data effectively
* Implement best practices for data investigation, ensuring data is actionable and effective for business decisions
* As a Data Engineer, you will create impactful visualizations using Tableau or similar tools, communicating complex data insights to non-technical stakeholders
* Monitor and optimize the performance of data pipelines, ensuring they are efficient and accurate
* Provide leadership in the data engineering team, guiding projects and helping drive data-driven decisions across various business functions

REQUIREMENTS:
* Strong hands-on experience in Data Engineering and Data Science
* Experience with PySpark and Spark pipelines (with emphasis on tuning and optimization)
* Solid experience working with large-scale, real-world data sets in non-academic settings
* In-depth understanding of data cleaning, structuring, and investigation techniques to ensure high-quality data
* Familiarity with Tableau or other data visualization tools to convey insights to business stakeholders
* Proficiency in AWS and Python for data processing
* Ability to collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to identify key data sources and opportunities for improving network and customer experiences
* Strong leadership skills, with the ability to guide a data engineering team and drive key initiatives

Preferred Qualifications:
* Experience in the telecommunications industry or with mobile networks (highly beneficial)
* Familiarity with cellular network technologies, particularly the user plane and control plane (beneficial but not required)
* Experience with core network technologies, especially related to data movement from radio networks to endpoints (highly beneficial)

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
