Job Description
Electrical Engineer (Multiple Positions) (Stantec Consulting Services, Inc.; Austin, TX): Design electrical systems for industrial, commercial, and government facilities. Perform electrical calculations to properly size project equipment. Create electrical drawings such as one line diagrams, three line diagrams, schematics and wiring diagrams. Perform electrical system studies to verify design in a variety of industry specific software packages. Prepare specifications for the procurement of electrical equipment and materials. Estimate construction costs for project budget preparation. Write reports and compile data for engineering projects. 40 hours per week, M-F (9:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m.). #LI-DNI #GTM
Qualifications
Requirements:
Must have a Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Electrical Engineering, or a related field, and 5 years of post-bachelor's, progressive related work experience; OR a Master's degree or foreign equivalent in Electrical Engineering, or a related field, and 3 years of related work experience.
Of the experience required, must have 2 years of experience with the following: Electrical power distribution system design; Equipment specifications including low voltage transformers, motor control, and switchgear; Performing technical work from preliminary planning through design construction and project closeout; Using industry software tools including ETAP, CYMCAP, SKM, and ASPEN ONELINER; Calculating relay protection settings and programming relays; Intelligent Electrical Device including transformer monitors, alarm systems, reclosers, or relays; and Performing power flow, short circuit, arc flash, protection coordination, and cable ampacity studies.
Must have an active U.S. Professional Engineer license.
Travel to various locations throughout the US required up to 10%.
Travel to various international locations required up to 10%.
Telecommuting permitted up to 3 days per week, depending on business need.

Pay Transparency: In compliance with pay transparency laws, pay ranges are provided for positions in locations where required. Please note, the final agreed upon compensation is based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. At Stantec certain roles are bonus eligible.
