Job Details

Job Title: EHS Manager
Location: Hattiesburg, MS - Onsite 5 days/week; must cover emergencies after hours
Shift: 1st Shift, 7:30 AM - 5:00 PM
Duration: Direct Hire
Work Authorization: , or authorized to work in the U.S.
Salary: $105,000 - $120,000 (flexible)
Relocation: Lump sum available for relocation assistance


What You Will Do

  • Lead the implementation of the plant's Environmental Management System (EMS), ensuring regulatory compliance and promoting initiatives to reduce environmental impact.

  • Drive a cultural shift towards safety through engagement and leadership, focusing on minimizing work-related injuries.

  • Manage safety and environmental programs, training, and compliance monitoring.


How You Will Do It

  • Engage all levels of the workforce to drive cultural change and meet environmental performance goals.

  • Act as the primary liaison with regulatory agencies to ensure compliance with environmental standards.

  • Conduct incident investigations to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.

  • Provide comprehensive training on environmental programs and safety procedures.

  • Develop and roll out motivational programs to enhance environmental awareness.

  • Ensure compliance with industrial hygiene testing and establish continuous improvement plans.

  • Oversee the management of hazardous and non-hazardous waste, ensuring proper handling and disposal.

  • Implement proactive measures to enhance air and waste management controls.

  • Present safety and environmental training tailored to site-specific needs.


What We Look For

Required:

  • Bachelor s degree in Safety, Environmental Management, or a related field.

  • 5+ years of experience in a safety and environmental role within an industrial setting.

  • Experience driving a cultural shift towards safety through engagement and leadership.

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to implement action plans based on data analysis.

  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Familiarity with behavior-based safety programs and ISO 14001 standards.
