SAP Senior Developer/ Architect / /Consulting Director ( SAP ECC to SAP S/4HANA with RISE)

Why is this position open: New role in recognition of needing a full-time expert in SAP Architecture and its evolution as we proceed through a Brownfield upgrade from SAP ECC to SAP S/4HANA on RISE and set up our people, processes, and system for future modernization efforts once we are in SAP S/4HANA with RISE.

• We are looking for a highly skilled contractor to serve as an SAP Architect for an SAP Brownfield Migration from SAP ECC to SAP S/4HANA with RISE.
• This role requires a seasoned architect with deep experience in SAP ECC, experience with SAP S/4Hana and SAP RISE.
• We are seeking a highly skilled SAP S/4HANA Technical Architect to participate in the design, implementation, and optimization of end-to-end SAP technical solutions and landscapes. The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in SAP S/4HANA with RISE architecture, migrations (including ECC to S/4HANA), environment management, custom code remediation, data archiving, security, system integrations, and emerging cloud technologies.

DAILY DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Lead the technical design and architecture of SAP S/4HANA solutions for brownfield migration.
• Oversee the migration of SAP ECC and associated components to S/4HANA with RISE using tools such as SUM DMO and Conversion Cockpit.
• Collaborate with functional teams, BW/Reporting, BASIS, infrastructure, security and development teams to define scalable, secure, and high-performance system architectures.
• Oversee remediation of custom enhancements, Fiori apps, APIs, and interfaces (including PI/PO, CPI, and IDocs) for migration from ECC to S/4HANA.
• Guide migration strategy, system sizing, and performance optimization activities.
• Ensure compliance with SAP best practices, security standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Participate in project planning, timeline estimation, and risk identification.
• Review and approve implementation partner work products and deliverables.
• Participate in planning and reviews with the implementation partner.
• Participate in planning and reviews with SAP related to the design and implementation of RISE with SAP.
• Participate in Architecture Review Board governance activities including production and evaluation of Architecture Decision Records

REQUIRED SKILLS

• 10+ years of experience with SAP technologies; 4+ years in S/4HANA projects.
• Proven experience as SAP Technical Architect on at least one full-cycle S/4HANA implementation.
• Deep understanding of SAP NetWeaver, ABAP programming, SAP HANA DB architecture, and SAP Fiori/UI.
• Hands-on experience with S/4HANA migration methodologies and tools.
• Proficient in SAP integration technologies (e.g., PI/PO, CPI)
