We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Quality Engineer to join our dynamic team. This position offers the choice of a permanent direct hire or a 1-year consultant option. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality of our cutting-edge products in the aerospace, space, and optics sectors. This is a unique opportunity to work with a team of talented engineers who are passionate about their work and committed to delivering the best products to our clients.

Responsibilities:

As our Quality Engineer, you will be responsible for:

1. Developing and implementing quality control systems to ensure product reliability and compliance with relevant standards and regulations.
2. Conducting audits, identifying non-compliance issues, and driving corrective actions.
3. Participating in the design and development process to ensure quality considerations are incorporated into product designs.
4. Leading root cause analysis investigations and implementing effective corrective actions.
5. Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure quality is maintained throughout the product lifecycle.
6. Reviewing and analyzing data to identify trends and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
7. Providing technical guidance and training to other team members on quality control and assurance principles.
8. Participating in supplier selection and evaluation processes, ensuring that they meet our quality standards.

Qualifications:

The successful candidate will possess:

1. A Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field.
2. A minimum of 5 years of experience in a Quality Engineer role, preferably in the aerospace, space, or optics industry.
3. Proven experience in developing and implementing quality control systems.
4. Strong knowledge of quality standards and regulations relevant to the aerospace, space, and optics sectors.
5. Excellent problem-solving skills, with a proven ability to lead root cause analysis investigations.
6. Strong data analysis skills, with the ability to use data to drive decision making and continuous improvement initiatives.
7. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex technical information to a variety of audiences.
8. Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
9. A proactive approach, with the ability to identify potential quality issues before they arise and implement effective preventative measures.
10. A commitment to continuous learning and development, with a willingness to stay up-to-date with the latest quality control and assurance principles and practices.
