Job Type: Full Time

Rate of Pay: $104,761.43 to 151,700.00 per Year

Duties: Create engineering design calculations. Create submittals and contract documents and drawings. Provide direction to CAD staff. Conduct interdisciplinary review and coordination. Conduct quality control (supervision and checking) of design reports, calculations and plan sheets. Provide construction support services and interact with clients. Participate in business development and project pursuits.

May work at various unanticipated locations throughout U.S. May telecommute.

Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certificate is required.

Requirements: Employer will accept a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field and 3 years of experience in the job offered or in a Civil Engineer-related occupation.

Position requires:

Performing engineering design calculations for suspension bridges and steel truss bridges. Creating contract documents and drawings in coordination with other engineering disciplines. Utilizing CAD software packages including Bentley Microstation and AutoCAD, with experience in NYSDOT, PANYNJ and NYCDOT CAD standards. Utilizing CAE (computer aided engineering) software applications for structural analysis including, MDX and AASHTOWare. Utilizing CAE (computer aided engineering) software applications for advanced, 3D seismic performance design including CSi Bridge. Participating in bridge inspections and prepare long-form, detailed inspection reports. Providing input and technical guidance to CAD Designers/Drafters, Designers and lower-level Engineers.
