IT Technical Support Specialist

Mon-Thursday 4 AM - 2 PM or Mon - Fri 4 AM - 12PM
Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced IT Infrastructure Support Specialist to provide advanced technical support across server, network, and application environments. This role involves troubleshooting, configuration, repair, and administration of various infrastructure components, including servers, databases, email systems, and network equipment. The ideal candidate will be capable of deploying effective solutions to complex problems beyond the scope of Level 1 or Level 2 support.
Key Responsibilities:
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex infrastructure issues related to servers, networking, databases, email, and operating systems.
- Perform system configuration, maintenance, and database administration tasks.
- Diagnose and repair hardware and software problems with minimal supervision.
- Respond promptly and professionally to user inquiries and technical issues.
- Document support activities, issue resolutions, and user guidance to enhance the knowledge base.
- Collaborate with developers, system administrators, business analysts, and other stakeholders to improve system functionality and reliability.
- Ensure compliance with internal Change Management and Critical Systems procedures.
Required Qualifications:
- 3 5 years of hands-on experience in IT infrastructure support or system administration.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills (both written and verbal).
- Fundamental knowledge of Windows-based operating systems.
- Experience with troubleshooting network infrastructure, including email, servers, and end-user systems.
- Ability to work independently and deliver solutions for issues not addressed by Tier 1 or Tier 2 support.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Working knowledge of Solaris or other UNIX-based operating systems.
- Basic understanding of relational database management systems such as SQL Server or Oracle.
- Familiarity with networking concepts and devices (routers, switches, hubs, firewalls).
- Experience following structured change management and escalation processes.
The compensation range for this position is $25 to $30
(dependent on factors including but not limited to client requirements, experience, statutory considerations, and location).
