PostgreSQL DBA Consultant - Fort Worth, TX - Hybrid - 53799

We have an immediate long-term opportunity with one of our prime clients for a position of PostgreSQL DBA Consultant to work in Fort Worth, TX on Hybrid basis.

7+ years of DBA experience

Minimum 5 years' experience with PostgreSQL

Any of the following Cloud experience: AWS RDS, Google Cloud or SQL Azure Database for PostgreSQL

Looking for a Database Administrator DBA contractor to help manage the PostgreSQL environment. The position will be responsible for on-going administration of existing environments including defining planning implementing and supporting physical Marklogic databases for the enterprise. Candidate should possess extensive knowledge of all aspects of PostgreSQL including monitoring and performance tuning. 50% onsite is required.

Strong proficiency in PostgreSQL database administration and management.

You will be required to develop SQL Queries as required by Business Divisions

Develop Stored Procedures

Load Balancing and High Availability

Ensure System Optimization by improving and restructuring the databases.

Perform database Updates and Migrations

Synchronize multiple Database's in various branches.

Thorough understanding of database design performance tuning and optimization techniques.

Generate Comprehensive Documentation

Support database issues arising from Customer Queries

Proficient in troubleshooting solving complex performance problems.

Proficient in PostgreSQL Database Patching Upgrades Migrations.

Proficient in monitoring performance analysis

Experience working with or in an automated operation environment.

Experience managing operations on core cloud-based infra environments.

Investigate and troubleshoot database-related issues including connectivity problems performance degradation and data inconsistencies.

Provide timely resolution and root cause analysis for incidents.

Willingness for 24/7 shift support and on call support

Significant background in creating complex stored procedures and SQL scripts in PostgreSQL.

Understanding of database normalization concepts

A minimum of 7 years database administration experience

Proven SQL and PostgreSQL experience

Experience in designing and automating repetitive processes.

Familiarity with other SQL/NoSQL databases such as MySQL etc.

Experience with cloud-based database services e.g. AWS RDS, Google Cloud, SQL Azure Database for PostgreSQL.

Good Hands-on scripting language

Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills

Effective communication and collaboration abilities.

Experience working with or in an automated operations environment e.g. Ansible
