About the Opportunity:
Fedtec is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Software DeveloperS, Applications, to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of web development principles and demonstrate proficiency in various web technology stacks, along with a strong background in secure coding practices and data handling. This role requires the ability to gather requirements, design new applications, and adapt quickly to evolving challenges. Experience with AGILE development methodology is essential
Position: Java / FullStack Developer
Work Location: Remote
Client: Internal Revenue Service
Primary Responsibilities
  • Demonstrate a complete understanding of technical fundamentals and core software development principles associated with web development, testing, integration, and security.
  • Utilize fluency in various web technology stacks, including Java, JavaScript, AngularJS, and/or PHP, to develop robust and scalable applications.
  • Exhibit proficiency in HTML and CSS to create visually appealing and user-friendly interfaces.
  • Apply secure coding and data handling practices, ensuring compliance with federal customer risk mitigation package approval processes (such as DoD STIG).
  • Utilize expertise in databases to design, implement, and optimize data storage solutions.
  • Gather testable software requirements and actively participate in the design and development of new applications.
  • Embrace AGILE development methodology, collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software solutions.
  • Adapt quickly to new situations and problems, demonstrating flexibility and creativity in problem-solving.
Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor of Science degree (or higher) in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Data Science, Computer Information Systems, Math, Physics, or a STEM-related field.
  • Minimum of 10 years of software development experience, including significant experience in web development and related technologies.
  • Strong understanding of web development principles and proficiency in various technology stacks.
  • Familiarity with secure coding practices and federal customer risk mitigation package approval processes.
  • Experience with databases and data storage solutions.
  • Ability to gather requirements, design applications, and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
