Job Title: Medicaid Data Warehouse Transition Expert Analyst

Job Type: Full-Time

Job Description Summary:

Seeking a highly skilled Analyst to facilitate the transition and takeover of a Medicaid Data Warehouse (MDW). The resource will support ongoing operations and enhancements to the MDW. Responsibilities include conducting impact analyses, gathering requirements, and collaborating with technical teams for smooth operations processes, reports, and data. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of AWS cloud environments, analytical skills, and the ability to communicate with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Job Responsibilities:

- Monitor and Maintain Operations: Oversee daily Medicaid data warehouse operations, ensuring data pipelines, ETL processes, and reports run successfully.

- Incident Management: Identify, analyze, and resolve data or system-related issues, working with technical teams to implement fixes.

- Collaboration: Work with data architects, technical team, and Medicaid program stakeholders to understand operational requirements and improve data accessibility.

- Enhancement Support: Assist in implementing and testing system enhancements to improve warehouse capabilities and Medicaid reporting.

- Compliance and Security: Ensure adherence to CMS (Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services) regulations, HIPAA standards, and data governance policies.

- Documentation and Reporting: Maintain detailed operational logs, generate reports on system health, and document issue resolutions and process improvements.

-Performance Optimization: Analyze system performance metrics and recommend optimizations for data processing efficiency.

- Automation and Scripting: Assist in scripting and automating recurring operational tasks for efficiency and reduced manual errors.

Required Credentials and Experience:
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in data warehouse operations, Medicaid, or healthcare analytics.
  • Proficiency in SQL, Analytical tools (e.g. Cognos, PowerBI), and data querying
  • Experience in Medicaid data processing, including claims, encounters, eligibility, and provider data.
  • Understanding of cloud-based data warehouse platforms (AWS, Azure, etc.).
  • Experience with data domains sent from Managed Care Organizations
  • Strong SQL skills, including optimized querying involving multiple tables and subqueries.
  • Ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Prior experience working with state Medicaid agencies or MMIS (Medicaid Management Information Systems).

Preferred Credentials and Experience:
  • Experience creating visualizations with Cognos.
